Middlesbrough are hopeful of signing Roda midfielder Anouar Hadouir if they can free up funds from their wage bill, BBC Tees understands.
The 28-year-old Dutchman, who is out of contract at the end of June and would be available on a free transfer, has been in talks with boss Tony Mowbray.He began his career with Willem II before a move to Roda in 2007 and has scored 36 goals in 211 appearances.
Willo Flood's move to Dundee United remains Boro's only departure thus far.
