Departing club skipper Ivar Ingimarsson has written an open letter thanking Reading fans for their support during his eight-year spell.
The 33-year-old is out of contract this summer and will leave the Madejski Stadium after making over 280 appearances for the Royals.
Ingimarsson said: "I just wanted to say thank you to all the people I have met and worked with over the years at the club.
"Good staff and good people is what makes a good club. Reading is lucky to have both. I want to say thanks to all the Reading fans. I enjoyed playing for you and the club.
"I had a good time professionally and personally and that time will always stay with me.
"I wish you and the club all the very best and a lot of success in the future."
