NA President Calls On Germany to Help Improve Cambodian Parliament’s Capacity

AKP Phnom Penh, May 25, 2011 –
Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin has called on the German NGOs InWent & Hans Seidel to help improve Cambodian Parliament’s capacity in organizing the upcoming 32nd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
During a meeting here on Tuesday with a delegation of InWent & Hans Seidel, Samdech Heng Samrin further asked the two German NGOs to help provide training and equipment to the Cambodian Parliament.
He lauded the close cooperation between InWent & Hans Seidel and the Cambodian Parliament, particularly in capacity building project.
The Cambodian national assembly president also thanked the German government and people for their assistance to Cambodia’s human resource training, physical infrastructure construction, etc.
He wished that the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples will be further strengthened and expanded.
The delegation of InWent & Hans Seidel has been paying a visit to Cambodia from May 23 to 27.
