Japan Constructs Mechanical and Electronic Device Factory in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, May 25, 2011 –Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. began here yesterday to construct the mechanical and electronic device factory in Phnom Penh Special Economics Zone (PPSEZ), National Road No. 4, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.
The groundbreaking ceremony was presided over by H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister Attached to Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Masafumi Kuroki.
Minebea plans to invest some US$60 million in building the factory, and make it a large-scale electronic device factory in Cambodia, according to Minebea President Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma.
